And when you are ready, study and read the Bible for yourself. I believe that you, as a Japanese person, will find joy you never knew existed and a certainty that, contrary to what you may have heard, Jesus affirms your culture rather than asks you to live apart from it. Even if your conclusions differ from mine, at least you will have studied it yourself, rather than listening to anyone else including me.

そして、あなたの準備ができた時、自分自身で聖書を読んで勉強してください。 私はあなたが日本人として、これまでその存在すら知らなかった喜びと、恐らくあなたがこれまでに聞いた事があるのとは反対に、イエスはあなたが自身の文化から離れる事を望んでいるのではなく、むしろあなたの文化を肯定しておられるのだという確信を得る事が出来ると信じています。それに、たとえあなたの結論が私のものと違っていても、少なくともあなたは私を含む他の誰かの話を鵜呑みにしたのではなく、自分自身で勉強してその結論に至った事になります。
